Barron falls and Kuranda

Real mix of images today, starting off with Barron Falls. It's the dry season right now so the falls are pretty light. The onto Kuranda where there's small wildlife park with Koala's and of course Ash got to cuddle one. Finally a shot from the market and some local wildlife.

Great barrier reef

Snorkling at the Great Barrier Reef. Photos of Ash and me from Poseidon. The Agincourt Ribbon Reefs are long narrow reefs located along the very Outer Edge of the Great Barrier Reef, flushed out at every tide by clear oceanic water welling up from the Coral Sea Trench nearby. Coral thrives in this clear water, creating spectacular gardens and a huge variety of marine life. These pristine reefs are opposite the Daintree Rainforest, well North of any agricultural run-off from cultivated areas, and provide the best possible snorkelling and diving opportunities.

Cape tribulation and Port Douglas

Early start, Port Douglas, Daintree and Cape Tribulation all in one day. Fantastic beaches, amazing views and blue skies

Cairns

Quiet start to the photos. Just off the plane, slightly jet lagged but spotted these storm clouds building over Cairns harbour.

Australia 2009

Now we're back from Australia, I'm going to set about publishing the photos online. However, rather than publish three weeks' images in one go, or even just the edited highlights, I'm going to publish them them over the course of the next few weeks. As it happened so to speak, just a month late. In other words, if you want to see the New Year fireworks from under Sydney harbour bridge you'll need to wait until 1st Feb. First images will be on their way later this week...
