Shorebreak can be a nightmare two hours either side of high tide, or if the wind is dead onshore.

Suitability
A low tide, the water's flat thanks to a sandbank further out, but at higher tides the conditions can become quite gnarley. The shorebreak can be especially bad near high tide.
