Short ride up and along the Purbeck Ridge with Ash making the most of a day off in the sun. It's a mile climb from the road to get to the top of the ridge, but the views are worth the effort. We cycled over to Corfe Castle and back although we didn't go down to the castle as that would have meant climbing back up to the top of the ridge afterwards!
According to the RSPB, "Jays are actually quite difficult to see. They are shy woodland birds, rarely moving far from cover" but this pair were quite happy jumping around the garden...
My first attempt at HDR. Shooting in the midday sun presented problems for capturing the detail of Durdle Door so I've merged four shots (-2,-1,0,+1) to create this HDR shot. Let me know what you think!
