Cold Cold Kimmeridge

Kimmeridge Ledges

Don't let the bright, sunlit pictures fool you. It was cold. Very cold. Today's forecast took a long time to come together, but the wind swung round from South to North just after lunch and brought with it blue sky and bright sun. Just as well, because the air temperature was about five degrees.
Standing in the bay, it's hard to tell what to rig as it's often blowing a gale round the corner on the Ledges. Today was true to form, and the consensus seemed to be 4.7s... In the gusts, 4.7 was perfect. But in between there was not a lot, which led to a frustrating float and ride session.
The waves were perfect, catching them was a real challenge, but nothing beats cross-off, down-the-line joy. Worth every minute. Super stoked now!
