Shopping or ...?

As most of the country hit the sales, I fortunately had the option of shopping or, alternatively, windsurfing. I went with the latter! The forecast wasnt up to much and as I arrived at the beach it looked pretty disappointing. Still, it was a chance to try out my new Ezzy Panther Limited sails so I rigged a 5.8 and chanced it.
For the next two hours, the wind was hovering around or just over the magical 15knots and I was probably planing for about 75% of the time. The Panther Limiteds are certainly lighter than my old Wave SEs and so far this seems to be most noticeable when pumping them to get going or lazy pumping to keep on the plane. There's no power loss in them either, if anything probably slightly more power but difficult to tell. How this helps manoeuver wise, time will tell, but heli-tacks felt easier going through the wind, duck gybes were simpler and it didn't feel such an effort to drag the rig back up to the outside through the middle of the gybe.
My Ezzy Wave SE quiver (5.8,5.2,4.7,4.2) is now for sale, contact me for more details!
